I really miss taking pictures of cakes in situ, with a beautiful backdrop. Whilst I’m really grateful to be making smaller wedding cakes, I’m also looking forward to when I can make larger ones for more than 15-30 guests. 🤞🏽

Tiered cakes and tall cakes are proving very popular for couples getting married under pandemic restrictions. That extra bit of height definitely screams ‘special occasion’ doesn’t it?!💕

The portion sizes will be more generous (I don’t hear anybody complaining about having a nice wedge of cake rather than a small slither 😉), but there are ways to make you a larger cake without the extra portions! #artificialtiers

This year definitely seems to be the year of the rainbow, and for me, last week was full of them 🌈.

I’ve had the pleasure of making this little lady’s cakes for quite a few years and this year she really kept me on my toes with her brief:
rainbows, inside and out ✔️

flowers ✔️

I painted watercolour all over the cake in pastel tones, and stayed with the pastel palette to create the overhanging rainbow and balloons.
